A TRANSPORTER WITH RACKING FOR A COSMETICS FIRM IN BELLUNO
A Transporter L1 H1 with racking for a cosmetics business
A racking solution that ensures service of the highest level
Maintenance work demands good organisation and perfect order. The bar is even higher if the job has to be done in cosmetics production plants. Product purity and accurate measurements are essential in such situations, leaving no room for error. Anybody entering a cosmetic production facility to repair or replace machines or equipment knows that every step must be planned in advance and that all risks of accidental contamination must be reduced to zero.
The van shown on this page is owned by a company that operates various cosmetic production facilities and plans to use it as a mobile workshop for maintenance personnel working away from base. Thanks to Syncro System’s ingenuity, the vehicle has been transformed into a high-precision mobile workshop capable of meeting the extremely high quality standards demanded.
The Volkswagen Transporter L1 H1 for cosmetic plant maintenance
The racking solution seen on this page was designed and installed for a famous pharmaceuticals and cosmetics manufacturer based near Belluno in Italy. The van in question is a Volkswagen Transporter L1 H1. To optimise space in the relatively compact cargo compartment, racking has been installed on both sides of the van but the bulkhead area and the side-door access have been left free.
The floor is protected by a 9 mm thick floor liner in grey plywood. Following discussions with Syncro’s racking experts, the customer decided not to fit any further bodywork protection. Nevertheless, Syncro can also provide lining panels for your van’s walls, bulkhead, roof and doors, in a choice of materials with different characteristics, including lightweight honeycomb plastic and strong steel sheet.

A practical configuration on the left of the Transporter
The racking Syncro installed on the left of this Transporter consists of:
- a floor-level compartment over the wheel arch, complete with a lift-up door
- a floor-level case compartment with end plate, shuttle-mounted pressure pad, lever-operated locking cam and a strap to hold the cases in place
- a pull-out case tray with two metal tool cases
- three drawers with bottom mats and vertical space dividers
- three configurable shelves, including two with top-pivot doors
- a top shelf with a plywood surface and a special frame and strap for securing an Ecoflow Delta 2 Max power station, charged from the van’s own alternator
- a silicone tube rack with holes for nozzles and a paper roll holder.
Smart storage on the right wall
The length of the right wall is limited by the side door. The racking here consists of a floor-level compartment with a lift-up door, three metal drawers and a Multibox cabinet with eight pull-out transparent containers.
On the racking side panel you can see a spray can rack and a pull-out vice bench complete with metal vice and telescopic support. This type of vice bench is specially designed for excellent stability and load capacity. When retracted, it takes up very little space as it slides horizontally between two elements of racking. It is quick and easy to extend when needed and just as quick to stow again after use.
The bulkhead has been left completely free, with the sole exception of a Syncroblock bar with hooks and strap for securing cargo.
Two high-power, energy-saving LED tube lights on one of the roof cross-members provide excellent illumination throughout the loadspace.
Exploiting every inch of space means using the roof too
The smaller the van, the more important it is not to clutter up the cargo compartment. In such cases, adding a roof rack is a great solution!
The roof of this Transporter for a cosmetics manufacturer has been fitted with a roof rack featuring Syncro’s patented Ultrasilent profile on the front cross bar and a loading roller at the rear. A single ladder slide fitted to one side of the roof rack allows even long ladders to be transported in complete safety. Syncro ladder slides incorporate a servo mechanism that reduces the effort needed to lower and lift them.
