A TRANSPORTER WITH RACKING FOR A CIVIL AND INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION FIRM

Syncro racking in a Transporter L1 H1 for access automation

What difference does racking make to a van?

If the racking comes from Syncro System, your van will be completely transformed. Whether the chosen solution is complex or straightforward, the result in terms of functionality is guaranteed to surprise you!

Syncro racking systems are always designed to make your working day easier and to save you time and money. How? When every tool, piece of equipment and spare part has its own place, you won't waste any more time searching for them or end up having to buy them again because you can't find them!

Appearance is not to be underestimated either: if your van looks tidy, you convey an image of professionalism and are far more likely to get called back for more work in the future. Syncro customers find that their racking systems help them work with greater confidence, knowing that they have everything to hand and that their equipment is both tough and durable. A Syncro racking solutions is an investment that pays for itself in a short time and generally outlasts the van itself!

The van seen on this page is a Volkswagen Transporter L1 H1 owned by a company that works with door and gate automation. The vehicle is compact and has sliding doors on both sides too. The space available for racking is therefore limited to the remaining sections of the walls and the bulkhead.

The owner requested a simple but complete racking system, with both walls furnished with a combination of open and closed storage elements, a vice bench, and the bulkhead behind the driver's cab reserved for cargo retaining accessories. Let’s take a closer look at this project.

Liners? It’s not even a question!

If you are thinking about turning your van into a mobile workshop, remember that liners are not optionals but essential to ensuring a long working life and secure fixings for racking and accessories.

The Transporter in these photos came into Syncro’s workshop with a floor liner and metal edge profiles already fitted. The Syncro team complemented this by protecting the bulkhead with panels of marble-look plywood.

The panels that Syncro uses to line the interior of your cargo compartment are all cut to shape and pre-drilled to fit your specific model of van at Syncro’s own factory in Cassola, Vicenza. This ensures rapid and accurate installation along with long-term durability.

Plenty of storage space on the left of the Transporter

The racking on the left of this Transporter for access automation consists of:

  • a floor-level compartment with a patented lift-and-rotate door that folds down to provide unrestricted access – a great way to turn the otherwise unusable space around the wheel arch into practical storage
  • an open shelf equipped with a case transport kit consisting of a front lashing strap, a slider bar at the top and an end plate
  • two configurable shelves with non-slip mats and internal space dividers

Everything necessary on the right of the Transporter

The right of the Transporter is fully utilised as a combined warehouse and work area, thanks to a clever combination of racking elements and a vice bench.

This side too starts with a floor-level compartment with a lift-and-rotate door. Further up are three metal drawers (which can be fitted with removable trays to divide up the space), a shelf with a specially made frame and a Multibox cabinet containing four pull-out transparent containers.

A pull-out vice bench is sandwiched between the floor-level compartment and the bottom drawer. This occupies very little space when closed and is extremely easy to extend thanks to two quick-release levers at the front of the racking. When open, the bench forms a large, robust surface, complete with vice, and is solid enough to use for small on-site jobs.

Accessories? Yes, please.

Accessories are a fundamental part of your van’s transformation because they ensure complete functionality.

This Volkswagen Transporter L1 H1 has a paper roll holder on the rear-facing side panel of the left racking and two Syncroblock slider bars on the bulkhead, one with a hook and strap lashing system and the other with a cable holder. At the very top of the bulkhead, Syncro has installed an LED tube light to illuminate the entire cargo compartment.
