17 October 2025 – Syncro celebrates
A date to remember! On 17 October 2025, Syncro System stopped work to celebrate an important milestone, 65 years of business.
It all began in 1960, when Francesco Comunello first registered his bicycle repair and construction business with the local Chamber of Commerce.
“Sixty-five years ago, my father Francesco turned his ingenuity into a business,” recalls Luca Comunello, President of Syncro System. “Our spirit is the same today: continuous improvement and passion for a job well done.”
After the death of its founder in 1982, control of the company passed to his wife Maria and sons Luca and Adamo, who carried on the business with determination, accompanied over the years by a growing team. “Our success,” explains Adamo, “stems from our humility in learning. We are proud of the progress we have made. It’s the result of the passion of our entire team.” Even though she does not work directly in the company, sister Bibiana has never stopped defending its values: “I am proud to support this company and to see that today my grandchildren are involved in the family business. It shows that our enthusiasm and our love for our work is destined to continue.”
The tour: a journey of discovery through Syncro
The day began in the early afternoon with guided tours of the plant. Employees accompanied visitors in small groups, explaining the Syncro System production process starting at the design office, moving on to the cutting, bending, painting and installation departments and finishing in the order completion and packaging section for Syncro van racking and accessories.
The tour also provided a valuable opportunity to introduce employees and their families to all aspects of the company. By exploring the procedures followed by departments other than the ones they work in, employees could see how everybody contributes to the end result. The experience reinforced employees’ sense of belonging and pride as members of a close-knit team.
The past, present and future of Syncro
Syncro’s Cassola factory, suitably decked out for the occasion, also hosted a photographic exhibition retracing key stages in the company’s history. Visitors were also able to take home a memento in the form of a commemorative booklet entitled “Syncro Moves”, printed and donated for the occasion.
An understanding of the story of Syncro is important because it underscores the present values of a family business that employs over 100 people and has made work easier and more productive for more than 100,000 van users. The demo vans on display provided a snapshot of the infinite number of ways in which Syncro racking and accessories can be used and illustrated the skill and creativity with which Syncro installers can satisfy even the most complex needs. In the afternoon, the artist Massimo Baggio transformed an old van into a work of art symbolising Syncro’s ability to give vans a new lease of life and functionality.
The day ended with a dinner at Villa Gioiagrande in Rosà, attended by over 300 guests, including employees and their families, suppliers, customers and friends.
And the future? Syncro’s motto is “carry on improving”
In recent years Luca and Adamo have been joined by the third generation of the family: Giorgia manages the painting and installation department while Alessia is responsible for personnel.
“When I joined the company,” Giorgia remembers, “I thought I would only stay for a while, but I soon discovered that I really liked the work, and what first seemed like a job experience has become a career choice. Today, I’m proud to be a part of Syncro and to contribute to the company’s future”.
“Sometimes,” concludes Alessia, “we all get so involved in our work that we forget how it all began. Events like this help us to take a break, look back and rediscover the meaning and value of the work we do every day.”
So, here’s a toast until next time... because celebrating together means recognising the value of previous achievements, building on the past, reinforcing the commitment of everybody to a common cause and sharing a vision of continuous growth!
