VOLKSWAGEN TRANSPORTER RACKING FOR ELECTRICIANS
Syncro System racking on a Volkswagen Transporter for electricians and systems technicians
Volkswagen Transporter racking for electricians: a Syncro System example
For an electrician, a van is an indispensable work partner: at the same time a warehouse, a workshop and a means of transport.
Meeting all these needs calls for a suitable set-up, always different depending on the customer’s specific requirements. In this example we look at a Volkswagen Transporter L2 H1, a lower-roof model with a more squared-off body line, fitted out by Syncro System for installing and servicing electrical systems.
The purpose of liners: protect, improve, illuminate, support
Whatever make and model your van is, and whatever your trade or profession is, the same rule applies: always line the cargo compartment before installing racking.
Lining the walls and doors with custom-made panels protects the original bodywork against dents, scratches and the harmful effects of liquid infiltration, while also improving the look of the cargo area: it is easy to clean and creates a uniform surface. Last but not least, furniture and accessories are fixed to the lining panels, avoiding holes in the bodywork.
The floor of the Transporter is protected by a floor liner made from resin-coated marine plywood. The walls and doors of the van were fitted with steel panels, extremely resistant even in the event of an accident.
Volkswagen Transporter fitted out for an electrician on one wall
The van we look at in detail here is a Volkswagen Transporter L2 H1: the limited headroom is offset in this case by also making use of the third wall, the bulkhead.
On the left wall, the unit is made up of: a floor-level compartment with a tilting flap, an exclusive Syncro patented product; two configurable shelves with a rear panel to stop material sliding down behind the unit, a Multibox cabinet with transparent elements, and a top rail for long items.
The unit on the right is a concrete example of space-saving inside the van: its depth is kept to a minimum and follows the shape of the wall, with sides that get progressively shallower towards the back. The drawers are all pull-out transparent units, some of them tilting too: 25 small drawers in total, many of which can be further subdivided.
The bulkhead houses shelving with four shelves, all fitted with a non-slip mat and pre-arranged for the addition of dividers.
Syncro van accessories: a whole world of functionality
With the accessories removed and only the racking left, this van would lose a whole lot of essential functionality!
The Transporter was fitted with load securing accessories, specifically two spray can holders and a strap-secured drill bit holder.
Other accessories can be added at a later date too. Browse the most popular accessories with Syncro customers here.
A roof rack made to measure for your Transporter
This van, fitted out for electricians, is also equipped with a roof rack: on the Transporter this consists of a full roof rack with cross bars, side containment panels and a rear roller to make loading easier.
Whatever type of Syncro System roof rack you choose to install, the first cross bar is always fitted with Syncro’s exclusive Ultrasilent noise-reducing profile. This specially shaped strip of rubber breaks up the air flow under the rack, reducing noise and vibration and improving comfort on the road.
