Renault Master racking for plumbers: a Syncro System example

For a plumber, a van is an indispensable work partner: at the same time a warehouse, a workshop and a means of transport.

Meeting all these needs calls for a suitable set-up, always different depending on the customer’s specific requirements. In this example we look at a Renault Master L1 H1, fitted with Syncro racking on the left side only: a solution designed for anyone who needs plenty of free floor space and does not need racking on both sides.

Liners = a longer lasting van. How to extend the life of your van with Syncro

Whatever make and model your van is, and whatever your trade or profession is, the same rule applies: always line the cargo compartment before installing racking. Covering the original floor with a robust floor liner is the best way to improve wear resistance, protect against spillages and distribute the weight of cargo. This van has a resin-coated marine plywood floor liner.

Lining the walls and doors with custom-made panels – especially ones made from steel – is the best way to defend against scratches, dents and perforations. In this case, only the doors have been protected.

One of the main purposes of installing liners – and one that should never be forgotten – is to prevent rust. Dents and scratches can easily allow rust to spread, causing serious damage to the bodywork and necessitating expensive repairs! So it’s always best to cover, insulate and reinforce your van’s interior.

The racking in this Master L1 H1 is relatively simple and confined to the left side. It consists of two columns, comprising a total of six configurable shelves, one plain shelf with a strap-type case transport system, a floor-level compartment equipped in the same way to serve the same purpose, a second floor-level compartment partly enclosed by a bottom panel, and a full-length top tray. The racking is complemented by two metal pockets for carrying spray cans, silicone cartridges, rags and the like.

This is a GOOD SOLUTION if you need lots of floor space in the back of your van, don’t need to carry large quantities of tools or spares and generally keep everything you need in cases.

It’s NOT SO GOOD if you need to work inside the van, or if you need closed containers.
