A MAN TGE L3 H3 WITH RACKING FOR AN ELECTRICAL SERVICE
A MAN TGE L3 H3 with a multi-functional mobile workshop for an electrician
An electrician’s multi-purpose workshop in a MAN TGE
The racking solution installed by Syncro System in this MAN TGE L3 H3 gives the van user maximum flexibility in the work of installing electrical systems on civil and industrial construction sites. The configuration ensures readiness for urgent jobs as well as good organisation in the storage of tools and equipment.
The chosen solution offers a number of strategic advantages:
- The presence of two ladder racks, one inside the van and one outside, allows a compact folding ladder to be carried in the cargo compartment as well as a longer telescopic ladder on the roof.
- The full-length racking and full-length top tray exploit 100% of available space, even in height.
- The combination of protective panelling and cargo retaining systems on the bulkhead ensures maximum versatility in transporting materials and equipment.
What liners to install in your MAN TGE, and why
To prepare your van’s cargo compartment for the constant and intensive use imposed by daily operations, you first need to protect the interior against accidental damage as well as normal wear and tear.
The MAN TGE seen in these photos came into Syncro’s workshops with a floor liner already in place. At the customer's express request, the Syncro team installed protective panels of marble-look, marine grade plywood on the bulkhead – the surface most exposed to damage given the absence of racking and the intention of using it to secure cargo of various kinds. Like all Syncro liners, bulkhead liner panels come pre-shaped and pre-drilled to fit the specific model of van and are therefore extremely easy to install.
A large empty wall transformed into ample storage: the left side of the MAN TGE
The heart of this MAN TGE racking system is located on the left wall. The entire wall is occupied by racking that offers a range of open and enclosed storage options. There is even a pull-out vice bench that extends to form a robust work surface with easy access from the ground.
The configuration comprises:
- two floor-level compartments, one over the wheel arch partly enclosed by a small lift-and-rotate door and another equipped with a strap-type case transport kit
- four configurable shelves, all with non-slip mats and internal dividers
- eight metal drawers with automatic latch mechanisms for maximum safety
- four shelves with top-pivot doors
- a full-length top tray for long items, with an access door at the rear and an open top for easy access.
A Syncroblock bar with plastic tool clips on the side panel facing the rear doors
A space-saving solution for the right of the MAN TGE
The racking on the right of this MAN TGE maximises room for movement in the centre of the van without wasting an inch of wall space. How? Thanks to an ingenious solution: Multibox cabinets with a footprint no deeper than the wheel arch, and 24 tilting transparent containers.
A Syncroblock bar at the top of the wall is equipped with adjustable telescopic hooks. Combined with a horizontal bar and lashing strap below, these hooks can be used to transport a folding ladder.
The bulkhead and roof of the MAN TGE: not an inch wasted!
No racking has been installed on the bulkhead of this electrician’s MAN TGE, but various accessories have been added to maximise functionality. The bulkhead equipment comprises:
- at the top, a slider bar with three cable holders for carrying extensions, cables and hoses in a tidy manner
- at the bottom, a Syncroblock bar with lashing straps for securing cargo of all kinds
- a bar rack with a metal flange and strap near the side door, for carrying long drill bits.
Expecting to carry hoses and tools that might be too long for the top tray, the van’s owner also asked Syncro to install two Airline profile rails with lashing straps under the roof. These share the cross-members with low-consumption LED tube lights.
There’s room on the roof too! The right solution for this MAN TGE
This electrician’s MAN TGE will never runs out of room because the roof has been used in addition to the walls, bulkhead and under-roof area!
A roof rack with a rear loading roller has been fitted and equipped with a single-slide ladder rack with damped descent and assisted lifting, and with two stainless-steel pipe carriers.
