A MAN TGE L4 H3 FOR SERVICING AGRICULTURAL EQUIPMENT
Racking in a Man TGE for an agricultural machinery business
Plenty of space means plenty of choice!
Syncro System can make the most of any van, from the most compact models in which access can be a challenge due to limited heights, to the largest variants that offer plenty of opportunity for installing a complete travelling workshop.
The van we are presenting today belongs to the latter category. It is a Man TGE model L4 H3, which boasts an extremely useful cargo compartment of 4.3 in length by 1.96 metres in height and offers a maximum cargo volume of over 14 cubic metres.
It is owned by a metal fabrication company that supplies solutions for agriculture. The firm installs screeners, silos, mixers and other agricultural equipment, and also provides technical assistance and regular maintenance.
By making the most of all available space, Syncro System has been able to create a mobile workshop in which both sides are almost entirely occupied by storage, dedicated in part to small items and spares, and in part to tools, consumables and larger items of equipment. The most sheltered area at the front, easily accessible through the side door, has been transformed into a work area with a practical bench and everything else needed for maximum efficiency. The van is also equipped with numerous accessories, cleverly arranged to achieve the maximum in terms of ergonomics and functionality. Let’s take a look at the solution installed by Syncro, starting with the liners.
The first stage in any van transformation: liners
What’s the point in fitting liners? Liners literally decide the future of your van!
By protecting the interior of your van’s bodywork, liners prevent the dents and cracks that let rust in. And rust is your van’s number one enemy and can significantly shorten its life and dramatically reduce its value when you come to sell it!
The floor of the Man TGE seen on this page is fitted with a floor liner made from marble-look plywood, while the sides are protected by panels of galvanised, painted steel sheet, finished in an elegant grey.

The storage area on the left of the Man TGE
Let’s look more closely at the racking on the left of this Man TGE, starting with the area closest to the rear doors, which is designed as a storage and cleaning area. This section includes:
- two floor-level compartments: one over the wheel arch delimited by a front panel, the other fully enclosed by a lift-and-rotate door at the bottom and a lift-up door at the top
- four open configurable shelves, all with raised rear panels, internal space dividers and non-slip bottom mats
- two other shelves, identical to the previous ones but enclosed by top-pivot doors
- a full-length top tray that extends even above the work area
- three essential accessories for cleaning hands and tools: a handwash kit with water tank and tap at the bottom, a soap dispenser above it and a paper roll holder at the top.
The work area on the left of the Man TGE
The work area is also located on the left wall, where it can easily be reached through the sliding side door, and from where the user has easy access to all the material and equipment on board.
The large workbench consists of a marble-look plywood top supported by robust aluminium profiles. It is bordered on the left by the side panel of the racking and on the right by the van’s bulkhead. As requested by the customer, the space beneath the work surface has been left free for stowing bulky material, which can be secured using the Syncroblock bar and strap fixed to the wall panelling.
The wall above the worktop is equipped with tool rack panels with square holes and plastic clips and a document pocket. The bench is illuminated by an LED tube light fixed to the underside of the top tray.
These important details turn the bench into a multifunctional space: it can be used to compile quotes and consult manuals as well as to carry out repair and maintenance work.
The right of the Man TGE: the realm of small parts and spares
The right wall of this Man TGE has been transformed into a warehouse, so large and well equipped that it would not look out of place in a brick-built workshop!
Starting from the bottom, we have three floor-level compartments, all fully enclosed by combinations of lift-up and lift-and-rotate doors. Further up are 18 metal drawers, all with non-slip mats and internal dividers, two configurable shelves and, at the top, three rows of 9 Multibox pull-out transparent containers.
A fold-away bench with a metal vice and telescopic support is fixed to the rear-facing side panel.
The cherry on the cake: drawers accessible from the ground
One detail on the right of this Man TGE breaks with the normal arrangement but greatly benefits functionality. Four metal drawers have been installed so that they open towards the side door.
This allows the van’s users to access a certain amount of storage without having to climb on board. By storing frequently used items in these drawers, a great deal of time and effort can be saved – to the benefit of efficiency!
The Man TGE’s bulkhead: everything needed for safety and order
Attention has also been paid to the last wall of the van – the bulkhead behind the cab. At the top is a shelf supported by brackets. A Syncroblock bar with movable telescopic hooks and a heavy-duty rail for securing heavy loads have also been installed here.
Special attention has been paid to the question of lighting in this Man TGE for servicing farm machinery and a series of LED tube lights have been installed under the roof.
