COMPARISON BETWEEN TWO TOYOTA PROACE MAX FITTED OUT FOR DIFFERENT JOBS
Toyota Proace Max fit-outs compared
How a bespoke fit-out is born: the project behind every van
On this page we present two identical vans fitted out in completely different ways. From the comparison a fundamental concept emerges: the fit-out doesn't start from the vehicle, but from the person who uses it.
The conversion carried out by Syncro System on your vehicle begins with a consultation phase, during which our technical experts will ask you precise questions: which tools do you use every day? How many spare parts, and which ones, do you normally carry? Do you need to work on board, or does the van only serve to transport material? How many bulky items do you have to load? How often do you access the shelving during a typical working day?
Based on your answers, the technicians will make radically different design decisions.
The Syncro method is based on listening to the customer, so the result is always perfectly tailored to each professional's way of working: as certified by a survey by CERVED, in which our customers are satisfied in more than 99% of cases.
Let's now look in detail at the comparison between the two solutions.
Toyota Proace Max L3 H2 for installation work vs mechanical assistance
The two vehicles shown on this page are both Toyota Proace Max, the same L3 H2 model; customers use them to support two very different types of activity: the first for the installation and maintenance of industrial refrigeration and air conditioning equipment, the second for mechanical assistance on heavy vehicles.
Both customers decided to fit out both side walls, but with different dimensions and purposes, while only the second also chose to make use of the load divider.
The Proace Max 1 has been completely lined: floor and load divider with flooring and chequered aluminium panels, side walls with panels electro-galvanised and painted grey.
The same choice was made for the walls of the Proace Max 2, but in this case the flooring is made of resin-treated marine multi-ply wood and the load divider has not been protected.
Left wall of the Proace Max compared: storage and work area
The fit-out of these two walls differs in three main respects: height, depth and length volume, much more limited in the first Proace Max, and the division into a work area and a storage area, which applies only to the second van.
Proace Max 1
In this case only the outermost section of the wall has been fitted out, while the section adjacent to the load divider is equipped with a sliding Syncroblock bar and a strap locking system.
The furniture modules include two floor compartments with lower hatches, two shelves partially closed by hinged doors and another two shelves with upper hatches. The top modules are closed by resin-treated marine multi-ply panels, which can be used as a support surface for other loads. Finally, at the top there is a paper roll holder.
Proace Max 2
Here the whole wall has been fitted out. The section closest to the hinged door is used as a workshop area, with a multi-ply wood workbench with a vice, resting on a unit with eight metal drawers and a floor compartment closed with a lower hatch. This area is also served by: a multiple socket, a paper roll holder and a hanging unit with six transparent pull-out drawers.
The storage area includes another three metal drawers, a shelf with a rototranslating hinged hatch housing an Ecoflow Power Station with smart charger, another four configurable shelves and two stainless steel shelves with a drip grid. The floor unit is also equipped with a case retention kit with a shuttle, locking strap and counter-backing to hold canisters in place. At the top there is a shaped shelf for seven pull-out plastic containers.
Right wall of the Proace Max compared: closed or open compartments?
The answer, of course, isn't a single one: it depends on what you think you need to store!
In the Proace Max 1, the eight shelves are closed by upper hatches and the floor compartments by lower hatches; the last row is occupied by seven tilting and pull-out transparent drawers.
In the Proace Max 2, in addition to the floor compartment with a hatch, there are three open configurable shelves and three rows of small transparent pull-out drawers, for a total of 24 elements. On the outer side of the unit, a metal pocket for small items and two spray-can holders have been added.
The load divider on the Proace Max
In the Proace Max 1, the load divider is lined but not equipped, while in the Proace Max 2 it is not protected, but is instead fitted with three parallel Syncroblock bars: the top ones with adjustable, sliding hooks, the bottom one with hooks and locking straps.
In both Proace Max vans, lighting has been carefully considered: on the first with a pair of LED ceiling lights tilted at 45 degrees in the centre of the roof, on the second with three ceiling lights at the top, plus a dedicated one for the workshop area.
