The van in these photos is a Toyota Proace Max L3 H2 owned by a regional multi-utility company. The vehicle is destined for use by the road maintenance department.

All three internal walls have been equipped, with combinations of racking and accessories chosen to meet the needs expressed at the consultation stage.

Toyota Proace Max L3 H2: the predominant lining material in this van is aluminium tread plate. The floor liner, wheel arch covers and bulkhead liner are all made from it. The walls are covered with honeycomb polypropylene panels, while steel panels have been chosen for the rear and side doors. The overall effect is one of light, order and cleanliness. Fitting liners has long-term consequences too: the van's bodywork remains damage-free, keeping resale value high and eliminating unnecessary body repair costs.

Let's look at how the left wall of the multi-utility company's Toyota Proace Max has been arranged.

Toyota Proace Max L3 H2: The configuration starts with two floor-level compartments bordered at the front by steel profiles; further up are four configurable shelves with raised rear panels and non-slip mats, two metal drawers and, at the top, two shelves arranged side by side and enclosed by lift-up doors. The highest level is occupied by a 2025 model full-length top tray, with a fold-down access door at the rear.

The customer requested a special arrangement for the central corridor of the Toyota Proace Max L3 H2. The forward section of this area is occupied by a large, custom-made box, positioned across the floor and supported by an aluminium frame. The box is intended to carry bags of cement. The box can be accessed from the sliding door and is held in place by a Syncroblock bar with a lashing strap.

This solution is complemented by a removable tray, located on the floor behind it with its open side facing the rear doors.

Toyota Proace Max L3 H2: the racking on the right wall partly mirrors that on the left. The main difference is that the shelves are all open on this side and that a compressor is installed in the forward floor-level compartment. The top of the column is quite different and features a shelf with a special frame for an Ecoflow power station and a cabinet of pull-out transparent drawers.

The bulkhead is often left clear as the perfect place to carry bulky items. Cargo and equipment can be loaded through the side door, leaving the corridor in the centre of the van free.

Toyota Proace Max L3 H2. The bulkhead area in this vehicle was expressly designed at the request of the customer, who needed a space to carry road signs. The equipment consists of a table covered in resin-coated marine plywood, with an aluminium frame and a raised front edge. The road signs are held in place on the table by a lashing strap attached to a Syncroblock rail on the bulkhead.

Under the roof: an LED spotlight for illuminating the access area, fixed to the cross-member over the rear doors; LED tube lights and a ladder rack with lashing straps.
