A VOLKSWAGEN ID BUZZ WITH RACKING FOR A VENDING MACHINE FIRM

Basic rules for fitting out a small van
The space inside your van obviously needs to be optimised. In some circumstances, however, more than just good advice, doing so is a necessity. This is certainly true with compact vans like the VW ID Buzz. The basic rules to follow in cases like this can be summarised in the following four points:
1. Every inch must serve a purpose. As already hinted, if space is limited, every inch counts. We therefore advise you to focus on versatility and take advantage of the vehicle’s full height.
2. Consider the weight of cargo and how it should be distributed inside the van. Syncro products are designed for low weight and high strength, but if you have to carry bulky, heavy items of cargo on a regular basis, our advice is to leave plenty of floorspace free for use with cargo lashing accessories.
3. Pay special attention to security. The smaller the van, the worse the damage will be if heavy cargo slides around during travel. Syncro offers a complete range of accessories for all your cargo retention needs.
4. Install ventilation and lighting accessories. inside your van to suit your working needs and to permit easy movement even within a confined space.
A VW ID Buzz fitted out for a vending machine business
The van described on this page is the most compact model in the Volkswagen range. It is an ID Buzz L1 H1, an all-electric van owned by a company that installs and services vending machines for companies and offices.
You will see that the rules listed above have all been respected. The racking is concentrated on the left wall and occupies the full height of the van, while the right wall and the back bulkhead have been left unobstructed but fitted with cargo retention accessories. Spares, machines and other heavy, bulky items can therefore be loaded on the right of van, balancing the weight of tools, consumables and miscellaneous small parts carried in the racking on the left.
The vehicle came to Syncro System with a floor liner already installed.

A travelling warehouse on the left of the VW ID Buzz
As we began to explain above, the left of this Buzz ID for installing and servicing vending machines is equipped with:
- two floor-level compartments, one partly enclosed by a patented lift-and-rotate door, the other fitted with a strap-type case transport kit
- two pull-out trays with metal tool cases
- three metal drawers with non-slip mats and internal space dividers
- a configurable shelf with metal space dividers; in this compartment is a multi-socket power strip connected to an inverter; the inverter itself is installed in the narrow space between the racking and the bulkhead
- a row of eight Multibox pull-out transparent containers in two different sizes
- a full-length top tray with a rear access door
Two useful accessories have been added to the rear-facing side panel: a fire extinguisher bracket and a silicone tube rack with holes for the nozzles.

The right wall and bulkhead of the ID Buzz: making the most of limited space
To satisfy the needs of the business, the owner of this VW ID Buzz asked Syncro to ensure plenty of free space for transporting bulky equipment and materials.
To fulfil this requirement, we avoided placing bulky racking on the right wall and bulkhead.
Instead, we installed only one cabinet of six tilting and removable transparent containers at the very top of the right wall. Further down is a milled bar for securing heavy loads by means of hooks and lashing straps, and a first aid kit.
At the very top of the bulkhead is a Syncroblock bar with a cable holder.
In this way these two areas are ideally configured for safe loading and transport.
