PEUGEOT EXPERT FITTED OUT FOR FUNERAL SERVICES

Syncro System is always working on new solutions to meet its customers' needs: the one featured on this page is an example of a special fit-out for a funeral services company. The van used is a Peugeot Expert, a small-sized vehicle, inside which Syncro's technicians managed to create two overlapping levels, maximising the load capacity of the vehicle's rear compartment. A special fit-out, custom-made according to the customer's requirements.

In this Peugeot Expert, the protective linings fitted to shield the bodywork are truly comprehensive, covering every surface of the load compartment, including the second floor positioned at half height. Almond-finish aluminium is by far the most widely used material: we find it on the lower floor, in the form of a custom-made flooring, but also on the side walls, the rear doors and the side sliding door, and even on the bulkhead.

This material is easy to wash and offers excellent anti-slip properties. The ceiling has been lined with pre-painted sheet metal panelling, while the half-height shelf is made of multi-ply wood with a marbled finish. The wheel arches also have dedicated lining: almond-finish aluminium at the front, sheet metal on the upper section.

The upper level of this van, built with a solid steel structure anchored to the side walls, was designed in an L-shape, to leave greater loading freedom in height near the side sliding door. The multi-ply wood shelf is edged with metal profiles that protect the thickness of the border. To create a containment effect for the loaded goods, a fully opening flap was fitted at the rear, mounted on hinges that allow it to fold downward. The other two open sides have been fitted with a small raised metal side guard.

The lower compartment of this Expert has been fitted with a coffin-loading slide, specially created by Syncro for moving funeral coffins. The slide, made of steel and aluminium, is fixed to the floor and features a roller that facilitates the coffin-loading operations. It is equipped with a rear locking system and a front mechanical stop for extra load security. On the left of the flooring, two enclosed metal shelves have been fitted, running the full length of the load compartment and featuring an opening on the short side.

On the upper shelf, some load-restraint systems have been installed, consisting of quick-release hooks and adjustable straps. These accessories keep cases of different shapes and sizes securely in place, ensuring safe transport. Two further straps with hooks have been fitted on the upper shelf, facing the side sliding door.
