A EXPERT RACKING SOLUTION FOR A CONSTRUCTION FIRM IN ROME

Maximum efficiency from a compact space: the needs of a construction company

It’s fairly sure to say that we have never yet met two customers who do the same job and who have exactly the same requirements for fitting out their vans. In the field of construction, the variation in needs is even wider. Some builders work on large construction sites that offer plenty of room for manoeuvre and have enough space to park a large, well-equipped van. Others operate mainly on small sites or in the narrow streets of historic town centres and have to carefully select what to carry with them because they need to drive small, agile vans.

The racking solution illustrated on this page is installed in a Peugeot Expert L1 H1 owned by a construction company. Though this van offers only a limited amount of space, the simple solution devised by Syncro System is extremely effective.

This solution in an Expert L1 H1 for a construction company in Rome clearly demonstrates how even a compact cargo compartment can be transformed into an efficient mobile workshop thanks to the addition of a few carefully chosen items of bodywork protection, racking and accessories.

The material that builders have to transport is often cumbersome and dirty: buckets of mortar, hammer drills, wheelbarrows, shovels, scrapers and sacks of cement are typical examples of the tools and materials used daily by the average builder. To keep the interior of your van clean and free from damage, it is important to protect the bodywork against moisture, dirt, dents and scratches.

This is precisely what liners do. This Expert came into our workshops with a floor liner already in place. The Syncro team supplemented this by protecting the walls with panels of honeycomb polypropylene and covering the bulkhead in panels of marble-look plywood.

A racking-free space on the left of the Expert

The only racking in this Expert is installed on the left and is arranged in an asymmetric layout that leaves a large open space near the rear doors. This provides a convenient place for safely stowing heavy and bulky materials without cluttering up the central corridor. Cargo can be secured using the floor anchor rings near the doors along with the various lashing systems installed by Syncro.

The column of racking on the van’s left wall consists of a floor-level compartment with a lashing strap and two configurable shelves with non-slip mats and metal space dividers.

A top tray extends for the full length of the wall, even over the open space mentioned above. A metal storage pocket and a small paper roll holder have been fixed to the racking side panel inside this protected area.

How the right side of the building firm’s Expert is organised

To work efficiently without taking up valuable floor space in the walkway, the right wall of this Expert is also only partially equipped.

At the top is a Multibox cabinet with three removable, tilting transparent containers. Half-way up is a Syncroblock slider bar with adjustable telescopic hooks. These are ideal for carrying extensions, cables, work bags and other items with a handle. What are the benefits? The floor remains completely free to accommodate bulky bags and tools, or simply to move around without hindrance!

The importance of securing cargo safely

Even the bulkhead of this construction company’s Expert offers maximum safety from zero footprint. The liners have been fitted with a Syncroblock bar and lashing strap. This simple combination lets you safely transport even heavy materials without them sliding around and with the convenience of being close to the side door for loading and unloading.
