DOKKER FOR LIFT MAINTENANCE

Racking for a Dacia Dokker for a company that handles lift maintenance, by Syncro System

Dokker allestito per manutenzione di ascensori

The Dokker is a small van, perfect for the needs of a lift maintenance technician, who almost always has to manoeuvre through narrow city streets and find a parking space quickly, often in difficult conditions. To carry out the job well, however, driving with agility and parking in record time is not enough, just as being well prepared is not enough: the operator's professionalism also needs to be reflected in how the vehicle is organised inside.

Thanks to a custom fit-out designed and built by Syncro System, the small Dokker is transformed into a compact travelling workshop, with everything needed to carry out maintenance work precisely, quickly and effectively for customers.

Let's take a look at an example of a Dokker fitted out for a lift technician.

Un allestimento semplice ed efficace

The Dokker you see in this photo gallery has a compact layout, concentrated along the left-hand wall. The rest of the load area is left free, apart from the accessory fixed to the rear bulkhead.

This type of fit-out achieves two goals:

  1. giving the user a number of containers suited to their needs, so tools, spare parts, small items and everyday objects can be kept tidy, without wasting time looking for them or risking losing or damaging them in the clutter;
  2. leaving plenty of free space in the load area, useful for loading large spare parts, machinery or other bulky goods.

Even a small van needs to be protected from knocks and dents: in fact all vehicles used for work should be properly lined on the inside, to withstand wear and damp.

The floor of this Dokker has a multi-ply wood floor fitted, made by bonding several layers of birch wood with water-resistant phenolic glues. The chosen finish is resin-coated marine plywood, which is easier to keep clean, always looks tidy, and also provides excellent anti-slip properties.

The walls, meanwhile, have been lined with custom-made panelling in pre-painted sheet metal.

L’arredo di Dokker per ascensorista

Five different types of containers were used in a single unit: the owner will always find the right storage space for anything they need to carry!

From the bottom up: a wheel arch cover with a door; an open shelf with dividers and an anti-slip mat; a shelf with removable plastic containers; two sets of Multibox drawers available in two different sizes and, lastly, an overhead gutter with an opening on the short side.

Each of these containers has its own special features: for example the transparency, which is the big advantage of the Multibox units, or the ability to hold long items, which sets the gutter apart.

A locking system made up of a fixed rail, hooks and adjustable straps has been fixed to the rear bulkhead. Two cable holders for probes or extension cables are fixed to the side of the fit-out.

The two locks are “twins” and open with the same key. The body is made of stainless steel, ergonomically shaped and fitted with a solid defender cylinder inside.
