DACIA DOKKER FOR AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEMS
Dokker fitted out by Syncro for an air conditioning firm
Anyone who installs and services air conditioning systems normally relies on a medium-sized van to reach the customer’s home or the site where the work has to be done. That is exactly the case here: a Dacia Dokker which, thanks to the racking fitted by Syncro System, has become a small workshop on the move.
Let us look in detail at how the load compartment was organised.
Protecting the Dokker’s bodywork
There are several ways to protect the internal surfaces of a commercial vehicle like the Dokker: the simplest choice is to line the floor only, but every surface can be protected, including the roof and the wheel arches.
The Dokker in the photos was fitted with a resin-coated marine plywood floor, while two pre-painted sheet metal panels were fixed to the rear doors. The floor lining is essential to make the load surface even, and it gains in mechanical strength and resistance to damp. Not a minor detail: with a lining of this kind the operator climbing on board is no longer at risk of slipping, and the floor can be cleaned in seconds.
Racking on the Dokker’s side walls
The racking system fitted on board this Dokker is Syncro Ultra: it is easy to recognise from the side panels that support the units, with their pattern of holes equally spaced in all three dimensions. These holes are the anchoring points for drawers, shelves, accessories and other equipment, which can be fixed at any height and in any combination, and moved later without ever drilling the structures.
On the left side of this vehicle, used by a small firm that installs air conditioning systems, the unit is made up of two open compartments resting on the floor, a shelf with plastic containers, two case trays complete with two plastic Galaxy cases with a transparent lid, and two further open shelves.
The spray can holder fixed inside the lower left compartment shows how flexible the Ultra system is: the holes in the side panels can be used in any direction and at any height, so accessories can be installed and later moved to whatever position suits the user best.
On the right side there is a large open compartment at floor level, a second shelf with pull-out containers, two sets of transparent Multibox drawers and a top shelf. On the side facing the cab, easy to reach from the sliding door, a vertical drawer unit with tilting, removable transparent drawers was fitted.

The Dacia Dokker is a van often chosen by systems installers: here is an example of a Dokker for fire and theft prevention systems; here is one for lift maintenance; and this is a conversion built for a water heater engineer.
