TRAFIC L1 H1 RACKING FOR ELECTRICIANS

“I’m sorry, I’ve got to go back to get a part.” How many times have you had to repeat these words? Too many, we’re sure, because when you arrive at your customer’s premises and realise that you are missing the connector, part or cable you need to finish the job, your day is already ruined. You waste time, lose face, and probably have to postpone the next job too.

Since 1996, Syncro System has fitted out thousands of vans for electricians. On this page we present a solution installed in a Trafic L1 H1, a compact van that’s ideal for manoeuvring through city streets or tackling narrow mountain roads.

The van has been fitted with Syncro racking on the left wall only. All remaining surfaces have been left free, except for a few cargo retaining accessories.

Thanks to the vast range of items in the Syncro catalogue and the amazing flexibility of Syncro racking, the configuration of this racking system has been tailored to meet the customer’s specific needs. Let’s take a closer look.

As always, the first stage in this racking project was to protect the interior against dents and scratches. The floor has been covered with a floor liner made from resin-coated marine plywood with stainless-steel anchor ring cups and edge profiles. The customer also requested wall liners, choosing the lightest material available for this purpose, honeycomb polypropylene.

The left wall of the van is entirely occupied by racking, arranged in two columns side by side. The rearmost column consists of a floor-level compartment with a patented lift-and-rotate door, a pull-out tray with two metal cases, two drawers and two configurable shelves. The front column consists of a floor-level compartment with a lashing strap at the front and three more shelves. A full-length tray for carrying long objects extends over both columns at the top. A paper roll holder has been fixed to the racking side panel at the rear doors.

No bulky racking or accessories have been installed, either on the right wall or on the bulkhead of the van shown on this page.
