AN IVECO DAILY L3 H2 FOR A DOOR AND WINDOW SERVICE BY SYNCRO
A Daily with Syncro racking for a door and window fitter
Organisation is the key to success for a door and window business
The job of installing and repairing doors and windows and replacing broken glass poses specific challenges. You need more than just a spacious van. You also need your van to be well organised, well protected and versatile enough to solve all the practical problems associated with your work. Here are the main requirements of this trade:
1. Transporting doors and windows without damaging them. Door and window technicians handle fragile, expensive materials, often custom-made for the end customer. Syncro’s solution: rubber-coated cargo bars.
2. Organising a large number of small components. Door and window frames require handles, screws, hinges, gaskets, sealant and many other materials that all need to be kept in good order and ready for use. Syncro’s solution: drawers, transparent containers, removable storage boxes and tool cases.
In the Iveco Daily L3 H2 seen here, these Syncro solutions serve the needs of a door and window fitter who owns a large van and wishes work in a more orderly and efficient manner.
The vehicle’s owner discarded the simple solutions of throwing everything on the floor, hoping it will not slide around in transit, or tying untidy piles of material together with ropes, and instead turned to Syncro for a truly professional racking system!
Space in the door and window fitter’s Iveco Daily
The door and window fitter’s Iveco Daily presented on this page has racking on both sides to exploit available space in all directions without reaching as high as the roof. A high-roof variant of the Daily was chosen in order to transport large door and window frames with ease, and the van’s central corridor has been equipped with cargo bars for this very purpose.
The bulkhead has been left completely free of racking and equipped only with a cargo retaining system consisting of a Syncroblock bar with hooks and lashing strap. Loading and unloading are facilitated by the large side door.
Now let’s look more closely at the work done, starting with the liners.
Liners defend your Daily and support your racking
When investing in your business, you need to safeguard your investment over time. This is the precisely the purpose of van liners. Liners make a substantial contribution to extending your van’s service life. They protect its original walls and floor against dents and scratches and provide a solid base for securing racking and accessories without having to drill holes in the bodywork.
The walls of this Daily are lined with panels of lightweight honeycomb polypropylene while the floor is covered by a marble-look plywood floor liner with anchor ring cups and edge profiles in stainless steel. Two milled rails have been recessed into the floor liner directly under roof cross-members to secure the cargo bars we shall describe in more detail below.
The main problem: transporting doors and windows without damage
The main challenge for a door and window fitter is how to transport large panes of glass and delicate frames so that they reach their destination intact, without scuffs and scratches and without damaging the rest of the cargo.
To avoid these risks and to make the van as functional as possible for its owner, Syncro has installed vertical SyncroSTOP aluminium cargo bars. These bars are milled on both sides and can be mounted horizontally or vertically inside the van. The ends attach easily to the two aluminium rails mentioned above, or to other cargo bars. The narrow sides of Syncro cargo bars are rubber-coated to avoid scratching delicate cargo.
SyncroSTOP bars make it easy for you to divide your van into separate compartments, creating dedicated spaces for doors and windows and avoiding the risk of them falling or moving accidentally. Syncro cargo bars can be moved and repositioned in minutes if necessary.
All the storage a door and window fitter needs on the left of the Daily

Storage for small parts on the right of the Daily
The right of this Daily for a door and window service is dedicated to carrying smaller items and spare parts. The racking here consists of four shelves carrying a total of 24 removable plastic containers and two Multibox cabinets with 12 pull-out transparent containers and 6 tilting ones. Two accessories have been added to the rear-facing side panel: a bucket of wet wipes in a dedicated holder and a first aid case. At the side door is a bar rack with a metal flange and strap.
