Syncro System van racking is always tailored to your own needs. Installations can be limited to interior liners, a few accessories or complete racking systems covering one, two or even three sides of the vehicle.

All Syncro solutions have one thing in common: they are all fully customised. No two racking systems are identical – unless the customer asks for it.

When you come to us, you enjoy a first consultation without any obligations whatsoever. During this meeting you can explain to Syncro’s racking experts exactly what you want from your vehicle, what kind of work you do and how you believe the cargo compartment should be equipped to meet your needs. Our experts will then draw up plans for a fully personalised racking system. If you approve them, your van will soon be returned to you with all the new features in place.

Let’s examine a practical example, a racking system installed in a Fiat Ducato L2 H2 used for maintaining gas networks.

In this van, the racking as such is arranged along the two sides. The bulkhead has been used to install a work table and a few cargo retaining accessories.

How do you protect a van against wear and tear?

That’s exactly what interior liners are for. Syncro liners are tailor-made for each model of van. They are pre-shaped and pre-drilled at Syncro’s Cassola factory so that Syncro dealers can install them in next to no time.

In addition to top-quality materials, careful installation makes all the difference. Syncro floor liners, for example, are supported by spacers that distribute the load evenly across the original floor. They come with protective steel profiles on all exposed edges too. In this Fiat Ducato L2 H2 the floor liner is made of marble-look plywood.

The panels that protect the bulkhead are made of the same material, giving the van’s interior a matching look and feel. The walls are protected by galvanised and painted steel panels.

Other ways to line your Ducato

You can work in your van as in your main workshop

One of the main requirements if you wish to work in your van as you do back at base is some kind of work surface. In short, you need a workbench!

Maintenance, repairs and replacements can only be done properly on a strong, stable surface, and Syncro knows exactly how to design van racking around this function. Workbenches are always positioned to suit the model of van and the other racking elements present.

In this Ducato for servicing gas networks, for example, the workbench is located on the left side where it is clearly visible from the ground. It is supported by a series of racking elements for storing the tools, spares, components and other items needed for each job.

The left side racking starts with two floor-level compartments, both enclosed by lift-up doors. Further up are two case trays, eight drawers, three configurable shelves, a secure locker and, at the top, a shelf specially designed to hold eight removable plastic containers.

The racking side panel is equipped with two accessories: a fire extinguisher bracket and a paper roll holder.

Need to take everything with you? No problem with Syncro racking!

In the Ducato seen in these photos, storage space is not limited to the left side. On the contrary! There’s plenty on the right too. Here the configuration consists of:

  • a floor-level compartment with a lift-up door as on the left
  • eight metal drawers with non-slip mats and internal space dividers
  • two configurable shelves, also with non-slip mats and internal space dividers
  • a sealed stainless-steel tray with a bottom grille for transporting jerry cans containing oil or other liquids. Any drips or spillages collect in the bottom of the tray under the grille. The entire tray can be removed for easy cleaning. The tray carries five 20-litre steel jerry cans.

The bulkhead: a treasure at your fingertips

Space at the bulkhead can be particularly valuable. You can use it to secure bulky cargo, install more racking or add whatever accessories cannot be accommodated elsewhere. The owner of this Ducato chose to have two work surfaces and asked us to install a sturdy table in marble-look plywood here too. Because there is no bulkhead racking to support the table, a customised frame in aluminium profiles, large enough to house a generator at a future date, was provided instead.

Two cargo retaining accessories complete the bulkhead configuration: a cable holder at the top and a section of ROTM rail at the bottom left.

Lighting inside the van is provided by two LED tube lights mounted under the roof.
