VIDEO ULTRASILENT SYSTEM BY SYNCRO
A new profile reduces driving noise and vibrations from roof racks: the principle explained in the video
Ultrasilent is the name of the new revolutionary profile developed by Syncro System to reduce driving noise and vibrations caused by roof racks. The video describes in detail how it works.
The principle behind the design and development of ULTRASILENT, Syncro System's new and exclusive sound-absorbing profile, is explained in a simple way in the video. The annoying vibrations that disturb both driver and passenger in the cab, when the commercial vehicle is fitted with a roof rack, are caused by the so-called Von Kármán vortex street. Syncro System's Research and Development department worked intensively to find the best solution to this problem.
The result is simple yet extremely efficient: a thin, lightweight profile, fitted under the first crossbar. The distinctive feature of the profile is its wavy contour, which prevents the air passing between the vehicle roof and the crossbar from forming a series of vortices (the Von Kármán vortex street) that alter the pressure around the crossbars, generating noise and vibration.
Tests carried out at our plant have shown that this solution further reduces* driving noise by 50%!
Today, all roof racks and load bars fitted by Syncro System on every vehicle model are equipped with the Ultrasilent profile, which has definitively replaced its predecessor Ultrasilent.
*The previously fitted Ultrasilent system was patented by Syncro System and improved year after year, to ensure ever better driving comfort in vehicles fitted with roof racks.
