MERCEDES VITO FITTED OUT FOR SERVICING WASTE TREATMENT SYSTEMS
A compact van with racking on both sides for spares and components
A van tailored to servicing treatment plants
What criteria did you adopt when choosing your van?
- The nature of your business
- The area you serve
- Local road access and logistics
You probably considered all these aspects and more besides.
If all the factors involved suggest the purchase of a small van, then you are probably faced with another question: will such a small vehicle really have enough room inside?
With Syncro System, the answer is always 'yes'! You can install all sorts of racking configuration even in the smallest cargo compartments.
Here is a concrete example: a Mercedes Vito L2 H1 fitted out for a waste treatment plant service technician, with racking on both sides to make the most of the space for spare parts and components.
Liners: a wise choice for any commercial vehicle
Let's start with the basics. The van has been fitted with liners to protect its interior, which would otherwise be exposed to dents and scratches that could soon lead to the appearance of rust.
The Vito features a floor liner made from resin-coated marine plywood. This exclusive Syncro product is unique for two reasons.
1. These Syncro floor liners are installed using spacers to fill all the recesses in the floor, greatly increasing the strength of the walkable surface.
2. They also come with stainless-steel cups for the anchor rings and protective profiles made from the same material on all exposed edges.
The van has also had painted steel panels fitted to the doors and side walls.
The Mercedes Vito for servicing waste treatment systems
The vehicle seen here is a 2015 Vito L2 H1 operated by a business that services waste treatment systems. The owners of this van asked us to install a large number of containers as they need to carry a wide range of spare parts in perfect order.
Racking has therefore been installed on both sides of the van.
On the left we have:
- a floor-level compartment with a lift-up door and two columns of metal drawers on top
- between the two sections, a pull-out bench with a metal vice at the top,
- a long shelf with a lift-and-rotate door to maximise its capacity
- in the area near the bulkhead, which is only partly equipped, two shelves, including one housing an Ecoflow power station.
On the right:
- The racking configuration on this side of the van partly mirrors that on the left, except for the upper section which consists of a Multibox cabinet with 15 pull-out transparent drawers. Note how the shallow metal drawers have been configured. Modular plastic trays have been used to form multiple sections to keep everything in order!
If your van still seems to be missing something, think about accessories!
All vans benefit from the addition of one or more accessories and this is particularly true of small vans in which every inch of space counts. Syncro System's range is vast, so you can be sure of finding exactly the right solution to your needs.
The handwash kit (on the rear door) and the paper roll holder are some of the most popular Syncro cleaning accessories. The Syncroblock bar with lashing straps on the bulkhead is likewise a best-seller among cargo retaining accessories.
The Vito has also been fitted with LED lights under the roof. These simple, energy-efficient accessories ensure excellent illumination in the cargo compartment.
