PROACE CITY FITTED OUT BY SYNCRO SYSTEM FOR REMOVALS
Syncro System fit-out for a Proace City used by a removals cooperative, with shelving, drawers and made-to-measure accessories
Removals are a heavy and complex job, not only for the people carrying them out, but also for the van used as an essential means of transport.
It's heavy because it involves loading bulky and cumbersome items on board, and it's complex because, when it comes to furniture — especially wardrobes and kitchens — it first has to be dismantled and then, once moved to the new premises, reassembled in its new position. To carry out the removalist's job safely and professionally, it is therefore essential to:
- bring along the tools needed for dismantling and reassembling, along with a small supply of hardware to replace any parts that may get damaged or lost during the move;
- protect the vehicle used from the wear caused by continuous loading and unloading and by dragging heavy items in the load compartment.
Protected floor on the Proace City
Protection, in this case too, comes first: anyone doing removal work, in order to prevent their commercial vehicle from turning into scrap in a short time, needs to cover the load floor as soon as possible. It's precisely on this surface that all the furniture, furnishings and household items will be hoisted and dragged during the move from the old premises to the new one.
On this Proace City, the floor chosen is in marbled-finish plywood; the edges have been protected with steel profiles that guarantee a longer life for the most exposed and stressed area.
Fit-out for the Proace City on just one side
Anyone doing removals obviously needs as much free space as possible in the van: the more there is, the fewer trips are needed between the pick-up and delivery locations. It's equally important to always have the necessary tools and equipment on hand, to avoid wasting time and doing imprecise work. On the Proace City featured on this page, Syncro technicians adopted a compromise solution, installing a single unit along the left-hand wall and leaving the bulkhead and the opposite wall completely clear.
The unit consists of:
- an automatic case stop with a ratchet in contact with the floor. The kit can hold a large number of cases of very different sizes. Here, for example, drills, screwdrivers, battery sets and small-parts holders can be stored;
- three simple shelving trays with an anti-slip mat and dividers for protective panels, blankets, boxes and any other packing material;
- a drill-bit holder accessory fixed to the outer side of the unit.
Thanks to the equally spaced holes in all three dimensions, the side panel is suited to adding further accessories later on, which can be positioned at any preferred height.
For Proace City, as for any other van model, Syncro System manufactures made-to-measure roof racks, which can also be fitted with a ladder rack, for one or two runners. The front bar features the exclusive Ultrasilent profile, which ensures maximum driving comfort by reducing the noise and vibration caused by air impact on the bar.
